Sam Hawking, principal and licensed conveyancer of Sam Hawking and Co is raising money for Wales Air Ambulance by taking on the 7th edition of the 6633 Ultra, a 353-mile race across the Arctic Circle that has been described as ‘the toughest, coldest and windiest extreme ultra marathon on the planet’.
Sam will start his journey in the Canadian Arctic between the Yukon and the Northwest Territories on 20th March 2015 with 352.64 miles standing between him and the finish line. Sam is also likely to brave temperatures of between -30 and -50 degrees celsius as well as extremely strong winds that have forced previous competitors to crawl their way across the Arctic Circle.
It is with pride that we support Sam as he takes on this epic challenge. As well as being one of our valued clients, his trek will also raise essential funds for our local Wales Air Ambulance. It is a great honour to support Sam’s adventure with a real financial contribution to his chosen charity.”
We wish Sam luck on his upcoming expedition, and encourage everyone across South Wales to support his cause by adding to the £7,775 raised so far. Anyone who is interested in donating to Sam's important cause can do so via http://www.justgiving.com/sam-hawking/
Welsh Air Ambulance provides an emergency air ambulance service across Wales for those who face life-threatening illness or injuries. They rely entirely on the support of the public in order to keep the helicopters flying.
